One of my best and enduring memories of Martin was when he co-hosted the staff awards one year in the ECC. His ability to command the room and the humour he injected into the proceedings made it thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable. I greatly admired and respected Martin as a leader and colleague, he made a significant difference to UWE Bristol and I feel fortunate to have worked with him on various projects over the years. I feel so sad to hear of his passing. and send my sincere condolences to his family, friends and colleagues.
