I found Martin a wise and measured source of advice during the time I worked with him. His knowledge and networks were incredibly useful to those of us working in research and enterprise for UWE. I have particular memories of setting the world to rights in our regular research strategy meetings, which occasionally included working sessions walking around Westonbirt Arboretum. Nature was clearly of great importance to Martin. I am so sorry to know he has gone, far too soon.
