I was so sorry to hear the sad news about Martin, he was such a lovely man, always friendly and approachable and always supported staff in the Graduate School which was really appreciated. Even though he was at such a senior level he would always make time to speak to people. One fond memory I have is that he took the time to judge our Christmas tree decoration competition, something he took very seriously, and just goes to show his kind nature and good sense of humour. He will be sorely missed.
