Martin was incredibly supportive to any employee at UWE with a big idea and I'm thankful for the support he gave me over the last decade. He was a massive champion for enterprise and a brilliant voice for student entrepreneurship. Whether it was sitting on a panel or enabling funding for start-ups, he made a huge impact on the lives of young people. He also inspired many in the city more widely, in particular, through his contributions at the Bristol Festival of Ideas. At daunting networking events, he was always welcoming and a great conversationalist, making meaningful introductions. I was incredibly sad to hear of his passing and my thoughts and condolences go to his family.
